Job Responsibilities
- Plant Operations & Equipment Monitoring
- Perform day-to-day field operations and ensure smooth and safe plant functioning.
- Identify LLF (Look, Listen, Feel) abnormalities in equipment and report performance issues.
- Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, and operational checklists.
- Maintain HSEF-related equipment and documentation.
- Support the shift superintendent in monitoring process parameters.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely issue resolution.
- Perform equipment handover/takeover while following PTW and LOTO procedures.
- Collect field samples for laboratory testing.
- Conduct gas testing such as LEL and O₂ level monitoring using portable instruments.
- Maintain shift logs, operational records, and inventory of consumables.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, hazardous waste segregation, and fire safety equipment upkeep.
Safety & Emergency Responsibilities
- Participate in risk assessments during handover and process jobs.
- Conduct toolbox talks before job execution.
- Follow plant safety procedures to reduce accidents and incidents.
- Report near misses and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO, TQM, OMS, PSM, QCC, and 5S guidelines.
- Follow safety procedures like LOTO, nitrogen gas safety, and line break protocols.
- Act as a first responder during plant emergencies.
- Serve as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad.
Technical Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of rotary machine seal systems.
- Understanding of seal pot level and pressure importance.
- Compressor lubrication system knowledge (temperature, pressure, flow).
- Understanding of LO/LC valve status.
- Familiarity with field instrument locations.
- Basic unit operations and plant process understanding.
