Thiruvananthapuram: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode (OMR-based) in a single day and single shift. This decision adheres to the guidelines issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC). As decided by National Medical Commission (NMC), it is informed that the NEET (UG)-2025 shall be conducted in Pen and Paper mode (OMR based) in Single day and Single Shift,” reads the notification.
The notification also mentioned that NEET (UG) serves as the entrance test for admission to undergraduate courses such as BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS across all medical institutions. Additionally, NEET (UG) will be applicable for admission to the BHMS program under the National Commission for Homeopathy. Moreover, aspirants for the Military Nursing Service (MNS) seeking admission to BSc Nursing courses at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals in 2025 must qualify for NEET (UG). The NEET (UG) scores will be utilised for shortlisting candidates for the four-year BSc Nursing program. The NEET UG 2025 online registration dates for the exam are yet to be announced. The exam has a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes and comprises 200 questions, of which students are required to attempt 180. Each correct answer awards four marks, while one mark is deducted for every incorrect response.
